White House Christmas 2025 Has Been Revealed

昨日、メラニア・トランプ夫人が、2025年のホワイトハウスのクリスマス装飾を公開しました。
今年のテーマは 「Home Is Where the Heart Is（心がある場所こそ家）」。アメリカの伝統、家族、希望を象徴する、温かく美しいデザインになっています。
ブルールームの象徴的なクリスマスツリーは、アメリカ全50州と準州のオーナメントで飾られ、軍人遺族（Gold Star Families）への敬意も込められています。
「Fostering the Future（未来を育てる）」と名付けられた部屋には、1万匹の青い蝶（blue butterflies） が飾られ、再生と希望を象徴しています。アメリカ全土から集まったボランティアが数日で仕上げた、壮大なホリデー装飾となりました。
Yesterday, First Lady Melania Trump unveiled the 2025 White House Christmas decorations.
This year’s theme, “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” highlights American traditions, family, and a warm sense of hope.
The iconic Blue Room Christmas Tree is decorated with ornaments representing all 50 states and U.S. territories, along with a special tribute to Gold Star Families.
A room titled “Fostering the Future” features 10,000 blue butterflies, symbolizing renewal and hope. Volunteers from across the country worked together to complete this impressive holiday display in just a few days.

日本人はキリスト教ではない人が多いけれど、クリスマスは子どもの頃からとても身近にある行事です。街の雰囲気も明るくなり、心が温かくなります。いつか本場のクリスマスを体験してみたいと、毎年この季節になると思います。

Many Japanese people are not Christian, but Christmas has always been familiar since childhood. The festive atmosphere in town warms our hearts. Someday, I hope to experience an authentic Christmas in its original setting.
