A New Beginning for Japan
前回のブログで「高市さんが首相になった」と書いてしまいました。
誤った表現をしてしまい、ここでお詫びと訂正をいたします。
In my previous blog post, I mistakenly wrote that Ms. Takaichi had become the Prime Minister.
I sincerely apologize for the inaccurate statement and would like to make a correction here.
実際には、自民党は「少数与党」として政権を維持しており、正式な首相指名はまだでした。
誤解を与えるような書き方になってしまったことを反省しています。
In reality, the Liberal Democratic Party remains a minority ruling party,
and the official appointment of the Prime Minister has not yet taken place.
I regret any misunderstanding my previous wording may have caused.
今回の「公明党の連立離脱」は、日本の政治にとって大きな転機だと思います。
そして私は、本当に離れてよかった と感じています。
The recent withdrawal of Komeito from the coalition marks a major turning point in Japanese politics.
And I truly believe it was the right decision to part ways.
公明党は、長年にわたり政権の一角を担いながらも、
その政策や発言の多くが「日本の国益」よりも別の方向を向いているように思えてなりません。
はっきり言えば、反日的な姿勢 と感じられる場面が少なくありませんでした。
For many years, Komeito has been part of the ruling coalition,
yet its policies and statements often seemed to point away from Japan’s true national interest.
To be frank, there were moments when their stance appeared anti-Japanese.
国民の声よりも特定の組織や思想を優先し、
信仰を政治に持ち込み、国家の根幹を揺るがしてきたようにも見えます。
They often prioritized specific groups or beliefs over the voices of ordinary citizens,
bringing religion into politics and unsettling the foundation of the nation.
だからこそ、今回の連立離脱は、
日本が再び「国民のための政治」を取り戻す第一歩になることを願っています。
That is why I see this separation as the first step toward restoring politics that truly serves the people of Japan.
誰が首相になってもいい。
大切なのは、国民を裏切らない政治 であること。
It doesn’t matter who becomes Prime Minister—
what matters most is a government that never betrays its citizens.
この国を大切に思う人々の声が届く政治を。
そして、誇りをもって「日本」という国を語れる未来を。
I hope for a politics where the voices of those who love this country are heard,
and for a future where we can proudly speak the name “Japan.”
私はその一歩が、いま始まったと信じています。
I believe that this is the beginning of that new step forward.
