イーロン・マスク氏率いるX（旧Twitter）でAI「Grok」が活用されるようになり、私の日常は一変しました。海外の方々のリアルタイムなつぶやきが、瞬時に日本語に変換されて目の前に現れる。そして、私の日本からの発信も、驚くほど簡単に世界中へと届くようになったのです。
この「言葉の壁」がなくなったおかげで、今では多くの海外の人たちと直接交流を楽しめるようになりました。
「お誕生日おめでとう！」と祝い合ったり、「そちらの国では、今どんな季節ですか？」と何気ない質問を投げ合ったり。以前の私なら、英語への苦手意識から諦めていたようなことが、今では当たり前の風景になっています。画面の向こう側にいる誰かの生活が、ぐっと身近に感じられる。これは、今まででは考えられなかった素晴らしい体験です。
世界では今も悲しい争いが絶えませんが、私は信じています。こうして国境を超えた一人ひとりが直接言葉を交わし、互いの笑顔や日常を知ることができれば、そこには憎しみではなく親しみや理解が生まれるはずです。
「言葉が通じる」ことが、平和への第一歩になる。そんな風に、世界中が優しいコミュニケーションで繋がっていく未来を心から祈っています。
Ever since “Grok” AI was introduced to Elon Musk’s X, my daily life has completely changed. Posts from around the globe are instantly translated into Japanese right before my eyes, and my own messages from Japan reach the world with incredible ease.
Now that the “language barrier” has vanished, I am enjoying direct communication with so many people from different countries.
Whether it’s wishing each other a “Happy Birthday!” or asking simple questions like, “What is the season like in your country right now?”, things I once gave up on due to my hesitation with English have now become a natural part of my day. Feeling the lives of people on the other side of the screen so closely is a wonderful experience I could never have imagined before.
While tragic conflicts still persist around the world, I truly believe that if individuals can look past borders to exchange words and share their daily lives, hatred will be replaced by familiarity and understanding.
Being able to “understand each other’s words” is the first step toward peace. I sincerely pray for a future where the whole world is connected through such kind and open communication.
