10月4日、自民党総裁選の決選投票で 高市早苗氏 が小泉進次郎氏を破り、新総裁に選出されました。これにより、日本初の 女性首相 が誕生しました。歴史的な一日となります。
正直に言えば、私は、誰にも大きな期待はしていません。長年の政権運営で、自民党そのものが国民から遠くなっていると感じるからです。
しかし今回、結果として自民党が「最後に国民の声をわずかでも聞き入れた」ことは、ひとつの意味があったと思います。
日本の未来にとって、この新しい一歩がどのような変化をもたらすのか。期待よりも不安が大きいのが本音ですが、それでも「歴史が動いた」瞬間を見届けたことは確かです。

My Opinion
Frankly, I do not have much expectation for any of the candidates. The LDP itself feels too distant from the people.
Still, I welcome the fact that, at the very last moment, the party seemed to listen, even slightly, to the voice of the people.
